Several talented young athletes from Ciraco’s Okinawan Karate and Kobudo have been selected as the only competitors from our entire Pee Dee region to represent the United States at the 2026 WUKF World Karate Championship in Romania. Under the guidance of Sensei Josh and Hanshi Mike Ciraco, these dedicated students have trained with excellence and earned their spots through hard work and outstanding performances. They are all from the same dojo and will proudly carry the American flag on the world stage.

This is a compelling underdog story of local kids chasing a big international dream through discipline, perseverance, and community support. The athletes need help covering airfare, hotel, and tournament fees. Your support will make it possible for these athletes to compete in Romania and represent our community.
