Help Local Jamaican Workers Restore Their Homes

Donation protected

If you’ve been to Ochs Orchard, chances are you’ve seen them picking fruit, driving tractors, giving directions around the orchard, and always working hard. These men have been the backbone of our farm for years, some for decades. They, and many other workers from Jamaica, call the Hudson Valley their ‘home away from home,’ leaving their families for the growing season to keep fresh food on the tables of thousands of local families.

Every year, as the season winds down to an end, they start working a little harder, get a little pep in their step, because they know that soon, they’ll be home. This year, that energy has been ripped from them, as they have no idea what they’ll be going home to.

We’re raising funds to provide immediate relief for them and their families. Donations will go directly toward:
• Rebuilding or repairing damaged homes
• Replacing essential household items
• Providing food, clothing, and supplies for their children

Every contribution — no matter the size — will go directly to our affected employees and their families. Please, if you cannot donate, hit that share button & help us spread the word.
