Help local family replace carpet in their home

By way of introduction, my name is Kristen Shaffer-Hale. I own a home-building company in Zionsville called Kent Shaffer Homes. Recently, our company learned about a family in need who lives in Zionsville and we would like to help.

 

This family wishes to remain anonymous in that the children attend Zionsville schools. She is a single mother of four, one of whom is autistic. In their current home, about 90 percent is carpet. The son who is autistic has been eating the carpet. As a result, he must have surgery next week on his stomach and intestine. This mother does not have the money to replace the carpet in her home with vinyl plank. We would love to get help from the community to replace all of the carpet in her home.

 

The total cost to accomplish this will be around $18,000. Kent Shaffer Homes is willing to match all funds donated up to $5,000.
