Help Local Family Have Proper funeral

Donation protected
First I would like to kindly thank you for taking the time and consideration to donating to such an important cause to me. I am going way outside of my comfort zone with asking for help, but I remind myself, this isn’t for me. As Malachi’s best friend.. this is my final chance to show him just how much I cared and loved for him.

On December 30th, 2021 tragedy struck the Gardner/Schwartz family. Malachi at 25 years old was emergency transported to Watertown hospital where he would remain in the ICU. For the next 6 days his parents, grandparents, and a his closest loved ones would stand bed side while our favorite person fought for his life. Unfortunately, Malachi’s health declined on Wednesday Jan 6th, 2022 and his family would have to make one of the hardest decisions of their life. Malachi was met by our Savior January 6th, 2022 at 5:17pm. Also on December 30th, 2021.. Malachi’s brother (who is a year younger) was in an accident and was also emergency transported to a different hospital in Madison where he is currently fighting for his life. Someone has already created a GoFund me for his brother, so this page is going to be focusing just on Malachi, but I want people to understand the severity of the reason I am reaching out.

I am trying not to disclose too much on behalf of the family. I want to ensure I give them the privacy and respect they deserve during this hard time. I also do not want to disclose too little either. I know many people are going to wonder “how does a 25 year old end up passing away.” Vaguely I will say that mental health in our society is an issue that is often left untreated, stigmatized, or loved ones feel ashamed speaking up and asking for help. Please get the help you need, so your loved ones aren’t doing what I am doing now. Malachi was so much more than the way his life ended, so I will not say anymore than that.

Malachi was that person you meet once in a life time. He lit up every room he was in. He was a jokester and enjoyed making people laugh. He was a busy body who was always on the go. Since I met Malachi there hasn’t been a day that has gone by that he hasn’t called me to say good morning or check on how my day was going. He was that friend you could text day or night, and he was there to listen. For those who loved him, life will never be the same. He leaves behind 4 siblings who have endless stories filled with laughter and love. His grandparents, who were his pride and joy, adored him just as much. His mother and father are trying to stay strong because they have another son still fighting for his life.

As his friend, I am trying to help Alleviate his family for this unexpected financial expense of a funeral and burial for Malachi. Someone as special as Malachi deserves to have a final resting place as great as himself. I know times are tough financially in society today and any amount is accepted with much gratitude. If you can not financially donate, I would be just as greatful if you shared his story.
Thank you for your time as we navigate some of the hardest days that have existed.
