Will You Help Local Chef Chase His Dreams?

I'm Desmond Davis and I have always had a passion for cooking for people and seeing them smile while eating my food. I graduated from Riverside Culinary Arts Academy and have been working in the food industry for eight years.

Like many chefs, the pandemic left us jobless and made us search for new ways to support our families. So instead of just talking the talk, I walked the walk. I used my talents and started my very own private chef/catering company called Letz Social. It was a struggle at first, but as business picked up, I saved all I could to purchase a cargo van. I met a gentleman that bought cars at local auctions and said that he would help me find this type of transportation. I was so excited. I knew that this would help my business expand tremendously. However, instead of that man helping me, he walked off with $8,000 of my hard earned money and is yet to give me a van.

Due to not having a cargo van, it makes it difficult to be able to transport products to client's event locations. At times, I have had to turn down clients due to not having a this type of transportation. This not only upsets me, but my staff, and loyal customers that want to hire me to do larger events. Trust me, I would love to do large events. All my team and I want to do is be able to cook delicious meals for our wonderful clients and their guests. We just need the proper transportation to do this.
