LISMORE FLOOD destroys artists home and livelihood
Donation protected
Hello Everyone!
The unfolding tragedy in Lismore has become very personal. My sister, Leisa, a local artist and sculptor has had her home (the upper-story which has never flooded in history), art gallery and workshop completely submerged in unprecedented floodwaters. She has also lost all her stock that she sells at local markets so she will have no income until she can refinance, rebuild, and remake.
Fortunately, Leisa and her dog, Gidget were pulled to safety through a window by a good Samaritan in a fishing boat. They are safe. There was no time to take anything but her handbag and the clothes on her back. She has returned home today to find a bombsite filled with debris -- rubber tires, wheelie bins full of rubbish and even a 44 gallon drum full of toxic waste. EVERY dollar raised will go to Leisa. So many people struggling in this heartbreaking time. Love from Donna. Leisa's sister xxx
