Our family is raising funds to purchase a specialized power wheelchair for Lloyd Sr., a loved one who wears many hats - Husband, Dad, Papa, Great-Grandpa, Uncle, Brother and Friend.
Lloyd Sr. suffered a stroke that significantly affected his mobility in the fall of 2022, and since then, he has used a motorized wheelchair. He now has the opportunity for a major upgrade and a more personalized wheelchair to be built just for him. This power chair would be life-changing for both Lloyd Sr. and Joan, his wife and caregiver.
For Lloyd, it means the ability to move safely around tight spaces at home and elsewhere, tilt to relieve pressure and offer proper alignment and all-day comfort, raising the seat to transfer more easily, reaching spaces that reconnect him with his daily routines, like putting away clean dishes, transferring between the chair and recliner, bed, or toilet is much more manageable, and customized features, such as headrests, armrests, and footrests, are all tailored to fit him, promoting better posture, comfort, and health.
Lloyd and Joan’s co-pay for the power wheelchair is $4000, as it is not fully covered by insurance. Funds are stretched as Joan is undergoing treatment for her own recent cancer diagnosis. Our goal is to ensure Lloyd Sr. has the right chair to meet his needs now and in the future.
Every contribution—big or small—brings us closer to restoring independence for Lloyd Sr. and providing Joan with the support she needs as she focuses on her own health. If 100 people donated $40, the chair could be ordered.
If you are unable to give, we would be so grateful if you would share this fundraiser with others who may want to help.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for supporting Lloyd Sr. and Joan with love, prayers, and generosity.
