Since an xray discovered a mass in my lung in November, we have been on a journey that has led to an Invasive Lobular Carcinoma breast cancer diagnosis. The lung mass investigation was put on hold while I had a mastectomy in February. I had a lung biopsy on April 29 to see if we are also dealing with lung cancer. While in the recovery room my lung collapsed. I was admitted for 4 days and discharged from the hospital last night.

I am currently stage 3 unless the lung mass is also cancerous, then I’ll be stage 4. The lung biopsy pathology results will determine which type of chemo I will start on May 12th.

Leon has taken 3 months unpaid leave to be with me during chemo and I am humbling myself to ask for help to cover his missing 3 months of wages.
