Help Lizzie cover the cost of ECT Treatments

I have been dealing with depression since I was 14 years old. I've had ups and downs through the years. I have tried at least 9 different medications to help manage my condition with varying success. I have been suicidal in the past. I attempted it once when I was 16. I have also had two stays in behavioral health hospital units because of suicidal thoughts and plans. For the past few years, I had found an ok regimen that allowed me to function in many ways. I still experienced symptoms of depression such as hopelessness, lack of motivation, low energy. But I was able to function most days. For the past few months, I have been on a steady decline. Most days I do not get out of bed. I do not feel capable of taking care of my basic needs such as personal hygiene. My living space has gotten increasingly messier and messier. I do feel lucky that at the moment I do not have suicidal ideation. That is one of the only bright spots in my life.
I have reached a point in my where I am prepared to take more drastic medical action in order to improve my mental and physical health. I've consulted with my psychiatrist and several specialists and have decided to do ECT or Electric Convulsive Therapy. I chose this therapy over others because it has a longer history. They have been performing ECT since the 1940s. Though gratefully the practice has greatly improved since then. ECT also has a higher success rate than similar treatments. Approximately 90% of patients report improvement in their condition.
I hope to begin treatments in January 2022. I have already started the process of completing the required preliminary steps.
The treatments are unfortunately considerably expensive ranging from $300 to $1000 per session. People generally undergo 12 sessions. I am blessed that I have insurance that will cover the bulk of the expense. However, I first have to meet my deductible of $2000 before they will cover anything. Then the treatments will be covered at 80% leaving me responsible for the remaining 20%.
Due to the side effects of the treatments, I will be unable to work during the month or so that I receive treatment. As a result, I am on short-term disability which will cover some of my regular income but not all.
If there is any amount you could donate to help cover the cost of treatment it would be very much appreciated. Any amount helps.
Thank you to everyone who has shown love and support during my challenges over the years. I would not have made it this far without many of you.
