Help My Mom Heal — Support Her Cancer Journey with Alternative Therapies

Hi, my name is Julie Walz, and I’m fundraising for my incredible mom, Lizette Vicens, who is currently battling an aggressive stage 4 cancer (uterine cancer with spread to stomach lining). She is the heart of our family — a loving mother, a proud grandmother, and a woman who has dedicated so much of her life to caring for others.

For years, my mom worked as a beloved daycare teacher, touching the lives of countless children and families with her warmth, patience, and gentle spirit. She is also adored by her two granddaughters, who light up every time she walks into the room. To them — and to so many others — she is a source of love, laughter, and comfort.

Now, as she faces one of the biggest challenges of her life, we’re asking for help to give her the best possible chance at healing. In addition to traditional treatments, my mom wants to pursue several alternative and integrative therapies to support her body, strengthen her immune system, and improve her quality of life. This includes hyperbaric, regenerative and metabolic medicine, as well as integrative cancer care that minimizes the toxicities of chemotherapy. But these treatments are not covered by insurance.
