Help Lizeth's Grandfather Funeral Cost

My name is Alondra Posada, of Newark, Delaware. My name is Samantha Nava of Houston, Texas and we are both friends of Lizeth Ramirez, of Houston, Texas. We are currently raising funds for our best friend’s grandfather Martin, who is in critical condition from COVID-19 health complications. 


Martin, Lizeth’s grandfather is from a small town in Ponciano Arriaga, San Luis Potosí, Mexico where he has lived for the majority of his adult life as a farmer.


As Martin’s symptoms worsened, the Salazar family immediately took Martin to the nearest hospital; which was 1 hour away in Ciudad Valles, Mexico. 


Still, once they arrived at the hospital they were told by the administration to pay $5,000 upfront. Martin continues to depend on oxygen tanks to stay conscious however, with limited access to medical care and equipment Martin is susceptible to develop detrimental health effects. 


As Lizeth’s friends we have witnessed Lizeth face this hardship with great resilience and strength. However, as her friends we are reaching out for community support. Coming from a low income family, Lizeth’s family does not have the financial means to access physical and mental therapies for their grandfather; as well as travel expenses after being situated in such a healthcare facility.
