Hi, my name is Lizabeth. I have been in band since 6th grade, once I became a freshman in High School I joined the marching band. This coming year, I will be a section leader for the High School marching band. This past year when I watched the Macy's Parade I heard about the Great American Marching Band, and that they take at least one student from all 50 states. I applied, and I have been accepted to join the Macy's Great American Marching Band for the Thanksgiving Parade. This is in New York City, and I must pay for travel to and from, as well as incidentals. Any extra would allow for the purchase of souvenirs to bring back to my family (2 brothers as well as mom & dad), plus maybe allow my dad to come along. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me, since I will be a senior this coming Thanksgiving, and they only allow active High School students to participate. While there I will also be celebrating my 18th birthday!
