Help Liz with her stroke recovery
Donation protected
My name is Nick Morici, and I am reaching out on behalf of my mom, Elizabeth Bradford. As many of you know, on the evening of November 14th, Liz suffered a severe stroke. Family and friends have surrounded her with love and prayer while Liz has been bravely fighting back from the grim outlook the Doctors initially gave. They didn't expect her ever to walk again, yet Liz amazed the doctors and hospital staff by walking unassisted within days of that diagnosis. It's indeed been a miracle watching her progress. She is still unable to speak or swallow, which will extend her stay at the hospital by perhaps another five weeks until the feeding tube in her nose can be safely removed.
At this time, we are unsure how long her recovery will take. However, she will likely need months to years of physical therapy. She will stay at the hospital, then a rehab facility for some time, hopefully transferring home and receiving outpatient and in-home treatments.
Liz is 71 years young and wants nothing more than to return to life with her grandkids, friends and family as soon as possible. If you know my mom, then you know she is a fighter and determined to work hard with her physical and speech therapists to return home to all the people she loves.
We ask anyone who knows Liz or our family to consider donating to her recovery, as she and our family will face many unknown expenses in the present and future. She will need all the help we can muster to get her the therapies and medical necessities she will need.
All donations will be used for her recovery, including physical therapy, speech therapy, lifelong medications, any medical devices or adaptive technologies she will need, and any other needs that may come up along the way.
Thank you for reading, donating, and sharing,
