This is my wife Liz. For over 20 years, I’ve watched her pour her love on others. Whether it was serving children with special needs, buying and delivering groceries for families, and caring for both her parents. She took on caring for her father, when he moved in after her mother’s passing. All this, while holding down a full time, and part time job. I picked up the the bulk of finances as we moved into a place with an extra bathroom and bedroom for her dad. For Father’s Day,, she wanted to treat me to a few days in the mountains before the 4th of July. 4 days into our time there, she suffered cardiac arrest. We were camping, and as I tried to rush her down the mountain and find help, her chest pain intensified. As I pulled the car into a parking lot, she whispers “Good bye, I love you,“ and thanked our Creator for blessing her.Now we face a dilema. She cannot go back to work, because she has to keep a life vest on in case her heart stops. We are now faced with just my retirement income, and she carried the healthcare.
