Help Liz survive top surgery!
Donation protected
Hi Erry'body!
After years of self discovery and dyphoria our beloved Liz / Zil / Henry finally has their top surgery scheduled for July and needs our help!
No matter how you know, Liz- as a parent, a friend, a healthcare provider or an activist , you've been adopted by them in some way- they're the most loving, generous and supportive creature any of us will ever meet. As someone who loves Liz completely, I'm asking you, someone who also love Liz to return some of that generosity and love by helping them get through the recovery period safely and comfortably. Your donations will go towards necessary medical expenses and living expenses while they recover. Please donate, if able!
Here's a lil something I made Liz write:
I have been working for nearly half a decade towards this goal of top surgery and have had to jump through many hoops. The last hoop is to figure out how to survive monetarily while I take off of work and recover. I will not be receiving any income while I am recovering, and as a single parent who lives paycheck to paycheck, without community help this gender affirming care will not be a choice for me.
I just want to feel safe and seen. I know I might struggle with asking and receiving help or sharing with others when I do struggle so this is really hard for me.
I spend a lot of my time trying to make sure everyone in my shared space feels safe, heard, and respected in their own authenticity. I think I have made that such a priority for others because it seemed like an impossibility for myself for so long. It may not be apparent how much mental, physical and emotional energy I have to spend in order to engage with others. Between being neurodivergent and having significant body dysphoria there are many times when my capacity is low, and it makes it challenging to function. Feeling at home in my body will make navigating everything else so much easier. Taking charge of my body can be considered a radical act these days and especially in this state. Please help me be even more present and more radical(ly awesome) in this world.
By the way, if you're able to donate, and choose to include your name, you'll have a chance to win some rad rewards like tarot readings, massages and artwork. If you're not able to donate, but wish to help support Liz in other ways, please reach out to me for other ways to help.
