Liz is my special education instructional aide coworker, and she is truly the heart of our classroom. Despite facing unimaginable challenges, Liz continues to show up every day with a smile, pouring her love and energy into helping our students. She has been struggling to pay for mounting medical bills on an unlivable wage, and on top of that, she’s been supporting her daughter through a brain tumor diagnosis and other health issues that doctors are still trying to figure out. The countless doctor appointments and treatments have taken a toll, both emotionally and financially.

Through it all, Liz remains determined to help her daughter and never gives up hope. She has reached out to every organization she can think of for help, but so far, no one has been able to provide the support she needs. Now, her house—the home where she raised her kids—is being foreclosed. Liz has tried everything to buy more time or find a solution, but the deadline is here, and unless she can come up with the funds, she will lose her home.

Liz is the BEST assistant to these kids. They love her deeply, and she loves them just as much. She is the most supportive, sweetest, and caring person I have ever met.
