Help Liz Manage Her Health and Recovery

Hello, Julie and Romelia here. As many of you have seen on Liz’s Facebook, she is facing many uncertainties in life right now. Liz needs immediate surgery for a tumor found on her right ovary. This will need to biopsied to rule out cancer. Liz is a strong young woman. She works full time at a veterinary clinic. She is a wonderful big sister and aunt to her three nieces. Liz is struggling to enjoy her hobbies and do regular day to day activities. We want to attempt to ease some of the pressure she is facing with medical bills and help with the time off she will need to take due to surgery. Liz is not someone to ask for help but she needs it. If you are able please donate to help support Liz in this difficult time. In case you missed it here is what Liz has shared for family and friends.

Hello everyone

This is going to be a longer post, so no pressure to read it all—but if you do, thank you so much.
I’ve been pretty absent on social media for the past few years, and I wanted to share a little update with friends and family about what’s been going on with me.
For the last 5–6 years, I’ve been dealing with ongoing health issues—body aches, migraines, stomach pain, memory problems, fatigue, depression, and more. Over time, everything gradually got worse and started affecting my ability to enjoy hobbies, as well as my work and home life. Mentally and physically, it’s been a really tough journey.
As you all know, I went through a pretty rough knee reconstruction surgery that has been a difficult journey in itself. But besides this there were multiple other things that were wrong as well.
After seeing multiple doctors and feeling dismissed more times than I can count, I finally found one who truly listened and wanted to dig deeper. In early 2024, I had an endoscopy and biopsy, and I was diagnosed with Celiac disease—A chronic autoimmune disorder where gluten damages the small intestines lining.
At first, I thought that was the main answer. I completely changed my diet and went strictly gluten-free, but unfortunately, I was still dealing with a lot of joint pain, headaches, and stomach issues. The transition to strictly gluten free has been very difficult (more difficult than I thought it would be) and has impacted a lot of things in my life that I wasn’t expecting.
Fast forward to 2025—I had to switch doctors again because my old one left the practice, and my new provider recommended imaging of my cervical spine. After MRIs (with and without contrast), they found signs of some sort of spinal disease that still hasn’t been fully diagnosed. I’ve now been referred to an orthopedic specialist to continue figuring that out.
Then yesterday (3/29/26), I ended up in the ER due to severe stomach pain and bloating. After blood tests, a CT scan, a pelvic ultrasound, and a few other things, they found a tumor on my right ovary called an ovarian teratoma (a rare type of germ cell tumor). These are usually benign, but they can be cancerous, so it will need to be surgically removed and biopsied.
Right now, I’m waiting to hear from an OB-GYN to schedule surgery—and I would truly appreciate any prayers or positive thoughts that it comes back benign
It’s been a long, stressful road, and not having clear answers for so long has been incredibly difficult. Between the physical symptoms, mental toll, and yes… about $2,000 in medical bills and about 10 gray hairs later … it’s been a lot.
But I’m finally starting to get some answers, and I’m just trying to stay positive.
Thank you so much to anyone who took the time to read this and thank you to the family and friends that have been supporting me through all of this.
