Dear Lovely Internet People:
I am a novelist. My first work, a speculative romp called "Westsylvania Tales," is due out in April 2021 from Jazz House Press. I have a problem, however. Finishing this monstrosity is turning out to be full-time job and... well... I'm both broke and otherwise unemployed. On top of it all, I am going through a rough divorce. My home is whatever couch I can sleep on. All of my worldly possession now comfortably fit in my Bestie's (and his wife, Mrs. Bestie's) bay window. I didn't want to do this, but I'm getting pretty desperate.
What I will be using this money for:
- Applying for a sole proprietorship in the state of Georgia. A sole proprietorship will enable me to get a small business loan.
- Buying groceries for whomever is nice enough to let me stay with them.
- Paying my cell phone bill.
- Paying on the one credit card that isn't overdue.
- Refilling my anti-depression medication and hormones.
- Picking up a box of silverware at the Lidl. I'm serious. It's heavy duty, serves eight, is made by Robert Welch in London and is only $70! That's a steal! Hey... I don't plan on couch surfing forever.
Anyone who donates will get:
- A mention in the acknowledgments section of my book.
- Something special from me.
In Conclusion: The little prompt above is commanding me to "tell my story." And that's exactly why I'm here. I need your help to make the story happen.
