Hello, friends and family and community!
My name is Liz Gerena, and I'm an undergraduate senior at Cal Poly Pomona. A few days ago-- as of August 8th-- I found out that I have an outstanding tuition balance of $2098.11. My financial aid was drastically cut, and my family and I can't cover the costs of my tuition for this upcoming semester.
This is where you all come in. I have a deadline of August 31st to sign up for a payment plan with my school. My current goal is to raise $748.36 before August 31st, which is the last day I can sign up for this payment plan, and is what I need to pay to enroll in the payment plan.
The next step would be raising my first proper installment of the payment plan, which is $692.38. I would need this a month later from the date of August 31st.
The third and final step would be to raise the last installment payment, which is the same amount of $692.38. This would need to be raised a month after the first payment. From there, my tuition would be completely paid off, and I would be free to focus on my education!
This semester of school is crucial for me. I am currently enrolled in the McNair Scholars Program, which is a program that helps underprivileged students get into graduate school. Additionally, I have some of the last classes needed to complete my degree requirements that can only be taken in the fall semester. I am hoping that I will be able to raise all of the money needed for my tuition for this semester, and be able to stay on track to graduate in one year, as planned.
Thank you all for your help! And as always, a share is just as helpful as a donation.
