Hello! My name is Liz and I am asking for help during a difficult time.

In January, my job was shut down for a total of 2 weeks due to ICE activity in my neighborhood, which caused a sudden loss of income that I have no control over. On top of that, shifts I have been scheduled are being cut. As a result of these two things, I’ve only been able to work six shifts total this month.

Because of this reduced income, I’m struggling to keep up with essential monthly bills such as rent, utilities, phone bill, pet food, and basic necessities. I am actively trying to stabilize my situation, and I know mine is not unique as the entire community of Minneapolis is experiencing similar, if not the exact same, thing.

I’m hoping to raise $1,500 to help cover one month of basic living expenses and give me some breathing room while I work towards getting back on stable footing.
