Hi everyone, my name is Neil, and I am reaching out to ask for your support for two of the most selfless people I know: Liz and Alan.
In the early hours of Sunday, October 25th, a devastating fire spread from the attic of an adjoining property straight into their home. Thankfully, Liz and Alan were able to escape the blaze alongside their two dogs, grabbing only their winter coats.
While we are immensely grateful that they and the dogs are physically safe, the structural damage has left their home unsafe to enter.
People Who Give Everything to Others
Liz and Alan spend their lives caring for people in need. Both work demanding overnight shifts in the social care sector, ensuring that vulnerable, elderly, and infirm members of our community are looked after around the clock.
Outside of work, their generosity never stops:
Alan is a gifted photographer who freely volunteers his time to capture milestone events and special occasions for friends, family, and community members at zero cost.
Heres some of Alan's work! Sadly all his photography equipment was in the fire.
Liz is deeply committed to holistic health and frequently hosts free sound-healing sessions for those going through difficult times.
They have spent years lifting others up. Now, they need our community to rally around them.
What Was Lost & How Your Donations Help
Currently, Liz, Alan, and their dogs are staying in a temporary roadside hotel while arrangements are made for rehousing. As of today, the only possession they have managed to salvage from the ruins is a single wedding photo.
Every day-to-day necessity must be replaced from scratch. All funds raised will go directly to Liz and Alan to cover:
Immediate essentials: Warm clothing, everyday shoes, toiletries, and dog supplies (food, beds, leashes).
Temporary living expenses: Safe, pet-friendly transitional housing and meals while displaced.
Rebuilding a home: Furniture, bedding, cookware, and essential household appliances once permanent accommodation is secured.
No donation is too small, and simply sharing this page with your networks makes a world of difference. Thank you so much for helping this wonderful couple and their pups find stability again after such a sudden loss.
