Help Liz & David Recover

On Friday Jan 11th Liz and her son David were driving on Latrobe road when they were run off the road by another car. Liz and David went off a embankment and hit a tree dead on, which immediately ignited their car.  Liz was able to save herself and her son by escaping through the passenger  side door before the car was fully engulfed in flames. It’s a miracle she was able to do that with the injuries she had from the accident. 

They were both transported to UC Davis where they stayed for almost a week. David has two compressions fractures in his lumbar spine and is dealing with  emotional trauma. Liz has multiple fractures in her sacrum, pelvis and calcaneus.  Liz has undergone operations to repair her foot and pelvis, receiving multiple pins and screws. 

Luckily David and Liz have returned home! David can go back to school when he’s up for it and will be needing lots of support and care. Liz however is looking at months of recovery and physical therapy. She cannot be weight bearing for at least 9 weeks and then will have another 9+ weeks of physical therapy. The medical bills are piling up and Liz and her family have a long road ahead of them for a full recovery.

Liz has been studying to be a nurse and works as a EMT. She has put her heart into helping others. She dreams of completing her career as nurse and continuing to work as a EMT. Please help her and her family during this stressful time and give what support you can!
