My name is Livi's mom, aka, Jan. Last July, in the midst of moving from Texas to Florida, our daughter, Livi, became so ill due to Juvenile Dermatomyositis, that she was hospitalized for a week. The week before, she was dancing and leaping across a stage, and the next, she had to begin using a wheelchair.

She has had to go through PT, was on high dosage of steroids, monthly IVIG, weekly chemo treatments, and monthly blood work to get her back to walking, dressing, eating and climbing stairs independently. It has been a long year, but we are so thankful that she has made great improvements.

She still has a long journey, and for that reason, we would love to grant her wish of going on a Disney cruise and meeting her favorite vet, Dr. Oakley, who lives in Alaska.
