Help Livi Fight this battle with Leukemia
*Hi Family and friends, my name is Aiza and I’m sharing her story on behalf of my sister Ashley as it’s been one shocking, long, unexpected, and hard few months as we learned one of our loved ones is fighting Leukemia.
On April 27, 2021 Olivia (my niece) was scheduled to go into surgery to remove a cyst, but little did we know she would be up against something bigger. The day before her surgery April 26th, my sister got a call from her daughter’s surgeon saying he didn’t feel comfortable performing the surgery as her blood work showed a possibility of Leukemia. That same day they were admitted to Kapiolani Medical center to do more blood work which confirmed the diagnosis. Olivia was diagnosed with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. At that moment, all our lives changed and since then they have been in and out of the hospital for a variety of treatments and going through a rollercoaster of emotions.
Within these couple of months alone Livi has gone through spinal taps, bone marrow extraction, chemo, and continued hospital stays. Doctors are continuing to monitor and provide care according to her ever changing results and we are staying hopeful!
We know that there is a long journey ahead and we are asking for your help in any way. Donations are appreciative and we are super grateful and thankful and even a share or prayer is abundant.
