Hello friends, clients, and family,

My name is Ava Contreras, and I’m Liv’s daughter. Since 2020, my mom has been dealing with ongoing breast health issues. This has turned into 5 years of doctor visits, insurance battles, and pain management. After a long and difficult journey, she finally had surgery on Jan 8th and is home recovering. Recovery hasn't been easy so far but she has shown incredible strength and I am so proud of her.

Anyone who knows my mom knows how deeply rooted she is in her community and how strongly she believes in helping others. She is one of the most selfless people I know and would do anything for those around her. Now, we are turning to that same community for support.

Following surgery, my mom will have an initial recovery period of 4–6 weeks . Because my mom is an independent contractor, taking time off to recover also means losing her entire source of income( in addition to closing her pop up days before her surgery). We are raising funds to help cover medical and living expenses during her recovery—specifically hospital bills, lost wages, and basic necessities.

After years of fighting simply to receive this necessary surgery, financial stress from being unable to work should not be another burden while she focuses on healing.
