We just learned that a 3 year old daughter of our long-time friends in Russia has been diagnosed with stage 4 Nephroblastoma with metastases to her lungs. Violetta is only 3 years old and her parents are devastated. Violetta has 3 more siblings and she is the youngest girl in the family. Many of my Russian friends know Violetta's parents Vitalik and Vera Danilova through Zaokski School. 2 days ago, Danilov family traveled from their home town Syktyvkar to Moscow to seek treatments for Violetta. The journey to save Violetta is a very costly one and the family does not have resources. I'm asking all my friends and friends of friends to help this family at the worst time of their lives. UPDATE as of 1/27/21: Violetta is scheduled for a chemo port surgery on January 28 with 6 subsequent weeks of chemotherapy. After chemo she is scheduled for a surgery to remove a tumor.
