Dear friends, family, and compassionate supporters,

We are Jeff and Amy Colt, proud grandparents of two beautiful children, Vialah and Emrick White. Today, our family is facing the hardest battle we could ever imagine, and we are reaching out in desperate hope for help.

On September 22nd, 2025, our sweet 2-year-old granddaughter, Vialah, was rushed to the hospital with unbearable abdominal pain. At first, doctors suspected appendicitis, but after a CT scan, our world was turned upside down. They discovered a large mass deep in her abdomen — surrounding her spine, intertwined with vital organs, and even threaded by a major blood vessel.

She was immediately airlifted from Aspirus Hospital in Ironwood, MI, to Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis, MN for urgent, specialized care. After being intubated and undergoing an emergency biopsy, we received the devastating diagnosis: High Risk Neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive form of childhood cancer most often seen in children under 5.

Our hearts broke again when scans revealed that the cancer had spread to her arms, shoulders, and bone marrow.

Yet, even in the face of this terrifying battle, our brave little girl has already begun chemotherapy and is responding with incredible courage. Her smile — even through tubes, needles, and endless hospital visits — reminds us every day that she is ready to fight.

The Road Ahead

Vialah’s treatment path is long, complex, and grueling. Her parents, Shealynn and Jordan, are by her side at the hospital day and night, while her older brother, Emrick (4), is staying with us. This fight will involve months of chemo, countless hospital stays, and intensive treatments that no child should ever have to endure.

While insurance helps cover the medical bills, the financial strain on her young family is overwhelming. There are so many costs beyond hospital care — costs that no parent should have to worry about while their child fights for her life.

How Your Donation Will Help

Your generosity will help ease the crushing burden and allow Shealynn and Jordan to focus entirely on Vialah’s healing. Funds raised will go toward:

Reliable Transportation: They currently do not own a vehicle and are relying on ours which is unsustainable. We need to secure a dependable car for the 5-hour drives between Michigan and Minnesota for her treatments etc...

Gas, Lodging, and Meals: Covering travel expenses, hotels, and meals during long hospital stays.

Living Expenses: Helping with rent, utilities, and bills while Shaelyn and Jordan miss work to care for their daughter.

Unforeseen Needs: Any additional expenses that arise as Vialah continues her fight.

If, by grace, there are funds left after her care, they will be placed into a trust fund for both Vialah and Emrick to support their future.
