Help Shadow Get Better

Hi everyone, recently my dog Shadow has become very ill. Yesterday I had found some vomit and knew he was experiencing some stomach discomfort, there were blades of grass in it, so I figured he ate something strange and wasn't feeling well. Last night around 1 AM when I went to check on him, there was quite a bit of blood surrounding him and I knew whatever it was had escalated very quickly and this was not just a stomach ache. I needed to find out as much as possible as quickly as I could, I happened to be streaming at the time when I found him, and knew I had to stop everything I was doing and take him to the emergency room. There weren't many places open, the one ER near me was at capacity, so I took him to a place called Windcrest Animal Hospital in Wilmington.
As I was talking to the vet tech, he had two more episodes in the room and then even began vomiting large amounts of blood as I was signing some paperwork. I was very scared for him and knew he would not make it as he was already showing signs of advanced dehydration, which can quickly become fatal if not treated. The doctor recommended he stay in for at least 48 hours so they can monitor and test him, as well as rehydrate Shadow and make sure his vital signs are okay. At this point, he was very sleepy looking and the loss of blood was getting to him. He normally doesn't like vet visits at all, but he knew something was wrong and resigned himself to their care. I've never seen him do that before.
They suspect it's a GI tract infection, possibly clostridium perfringens, but it could be many other things apparently.
The cost of the emergency room visit is unfortunately something I cannot afford, I'm looking for
any type of assistance to help little Shadow. He's a sweet dog and ever since he entered my life after the death of my previous dog, he's filled such a void. He's a very coy, but playful dog that would never harm anyone. He loves to spend time lounging and being around the presence of his family. He loves to check up on everyone to see how they're doing and he's an excellent guard dog as well, always so alert and watching the door. Because he's a rescue, he's always had a big air of appreciation to him, he loves his family very much and shows his gratitude often. He adds so much joy to everyone's lives and has been a crutch for all of us during the pandemic, so it hurts to see him in so much discomfort.
The initial cost was $2100 (with a potential additional charge of $500 depending on other circumstances) for leaving him in the ER, and if he stays another day or two as the doctor recommends, that will add an additional 860 dollars per day. This most likely won't cover all of the costs as there will likely be medicine and other additional expenses, but it will at least cover a large portion of it, enough for my family to hopefully pitch in and assist as well.
Thank you so much for reading and checking in on Shadow.
