Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,
I never imagined I’d be in a place where I’d need to ask for help—but here we are, and I’m reaching out with hope and a heavy heart.
When our sweet daughter Sequoyah was just 2 months old, doctors discovered she had a heart murmur. We were told it might heal on its own, and we held onto that hope. But as she grew, it became clear that wasn’t the case. At 1 year old, she was officially diagnosed with Atrial Septal Defect—a hole in her heart.
Now that she’s old enough, her doctors have decided it's time to surgically repair the defect. As parents, it's terrifying and emotional, but we know this surgery will give her the strong, healthy heart she deserves.
We’re asking for help to cover the unexpected expenses that come with this journey—hotel stays, travel, food, and lost income as my husband takes time off work to be by our daughter's side. We want nothing more than to be fully present for Sequoyah during this critical time without the added stress of financial burdens.
Any amount helps—whether it’s $5, a share, or a prayer. We appreciate your love and support more than words can say. Thank you for standing with our family as we fight for our baby girl's heart.
With gratitude,
The White Family
