Hi everyone. My name is Rayan, and I am just 2 years old (2 years and 3 months). I was born into a lovely and big family, but at one point, something happened, and my mom and dad separated (adults are complicated). I guess I am too young to understand why and what is going on. However, my mom is raising me by herself, and sometimes she gets help from family, but not so much because resources are limited. Despite all this, my mom is a hero and managed to send me to a private preschool so I can receive a higher education and better attention to my needs. I have been seen by 6 specialists, and all of them told my mom the same thing: I am diagnosed with autism and severe developmental delay, but the chances of improving and recovering my everyday skills are very high. I do not talk (I have just a few words that I am working on), I like to scream, I ignore my mom (but I love her), not because I want to, but because that is how I function for now. I wake up 3 or 4 times a night and either sit on my bottom for hours staring, playing with toys, or screaming.I like to take my mom's hand and use it to do things.... It is tough for me and for my mom... But the good news is, the specialists told my mom that I have a high chance of recovering 80% to 90% if I attend several hours of therapy a day. However, that costs a lot of money that my family does not have. My mom has already spent all her savings to send my blood work to Germany for testing for leaky gut and heavy metals, so she is unable to pay for therapy that would help me attend school with less struggle and have a closer-to-normal future. So yeah, this is me, little Rayan, who doesn’t want toys or candies, but just a chance to attend therapy sessions and make progress for a better life in the future. By the way, I have a cat who calms me down, and I love being around her. She is the best gray cat!
This is a long-short story of my two years in this world, and I hope I can help save the world one day, all with your help. Thank you all!
Love, Little Rayan!
