Help Little Perry Beat Cancer
Donation protected
Hello, I am Jennifer, Helen's cousin. As many of you may know, Baby P's fight for his life began March 2022. At 7 months, Baby P was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma -intermittent risk-stage 4; an 11 inch tumor obstructing his kidney, intestines and lungs. Immediately after, Baby P underwent chemotherapy for 7 months. We all thought the chemo had worked and that he would be in remission for months to come. At his last scan, in November 2022, abnormal lymph nodes were discovered and for the next three weeks his health declined. On Christmas day, Baby P's treatment team revealed to us that his cancer had returned and it was aggressive! We were informed that the tumor that we thought was gone had returned, in addition to a tumor in his abdomen, skull and bone marrow. At this time, Baby P's doctors decided to try a higher dose of chemo that comes with a lot of complications. Baby P's treatment began and despite two rounds of chemo, his tumor continued to grow. The family had high hopes this would shrink the tumors. For two weeks, Baby P' showed improvement, however he then began not feeling well. His eyes began to swell, his body retained fluid and he showed constant discomfort. This week we found out baby P may now be chemo resistant, giving us very limited options to treat him. His doctors are working with many hospitals around the world to see who has a clinical trial that could help save baby P.
As you can imagine, this has taken a mental, physical, emotional and financial toll on the Crew family. Due to Baby P's extensive medical treatment, his father has not worked to care for him. To continue the fight, we would like to kindly ask for any donations to help with medical bills and potentially transferring care to an out of state facility. The Crew family has high hopes that transferring Baby P to a treatment facility out of state with highly acclaimed medical experts will help save his life. Anything helps and is greatly appreciated! Thank you for helping my family during this difficult time.
