Hi everyone.

You all know me as kathleen or chibi, but have I ever told you about little orange? Chances are you've seen him on my social media or me politely requesting he get off my lap.

Little orange was born as an outdoor kitty who immediately took a liking to me and his grandma aka my mom. He started approaching us and eventually transitioned to becoming a partime indoor/outdoor cat. So he would come in in the AM stay until me and my mom leave and then come back later. He has been around when my dad died and he is a big part of my family. Hes a very playful orange kitty who loves massages, terrorizing me and his grandma, scamming us into VVIK treats and cuddling with us while purring like a V6.

Unfortunately being an outdoor cat can cause issues. On January 22, when I came home post training, he came into my house and was not eating. He threw up some churu which caused me to rush him to VEG. We ruled out nausea after giving him an anti nausea shot but things weren't improving.

The next day I noticed he still wasn't himself, and I found he was always standing by his water bowl. I immediately rushed him to the VEG where we did some bloodwork, x-rays, and tests. Unfortunately we found out hes very dehydrated, his kidneys aren't functioning well and his white blood cells count is very high.

The vet recommended he stay the night so he can get treated and fixed up and see if they can improve him.

As with all things Healthcare you can imagine this has a very hefty price tag.

I paid close to 2k already for his bloodwork and xrays. And the 24/48hr stay is not really cheap either. Little orange is my first pet and a big part of my family since hes been around during multiple life transitions, and I would be heartbroken if he didnt make it through this.
