Hi, my name is Mike and the black cat you see here is Little Man. He is my heart and soul. About a week ago, he started vomiting and became very lethargic just out of the blue. I gave it a day or two to see if he would bounce back, but by Friday, he started hiding under the bed and didn't eat, drink, or go to the bathroom. I set up an appointment to have him seen today but decided over the weekend to take him to an emergency clinic. I am disabled and on a very limited income. My kids helped where they could, but he has fallen ill with something related to his kidneys. The initial diagnosis was Stage Four Kidney disease and that I should put him down today. He is seven years old, weighs 15 lbs, and looks healthy. So today, I took him to see my regular vet, to whom I sent all the records from the weekend. She fully expected when we came in to see a cat on death's door, which was NOT the case. After talking at length with her, she suggested I do a GoFundMe since she is aware of my financial situation and further testing and such will be a tad pricey. If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it to help my Little Man (yes, that is his name). To explain the pictures, one is of him recently, there is one of him sleeping next to me a few years ago, the day he found me while I was working in 2018, and the day I came home from my heart surgery in 2022. He has been at my side and so loyal and loving; it's killing me to see him go through this. Please help if you can in any way.
