Help Little Lowen’s Battle with Leukemia

If you’re reading this, Courtney has probably
impacted your life or the life of someone you know. She is one of the sweetest, kindest people many of us have been lucky enough to have entered our lives. When people talk about the person who would give someone the shirt off their back, or their last penny to help someone, that’s Courtney. She has always put everyone else’s needs before her own. When we suggested doing this Go Fund Me, her first response was to worry that there are other people that could use help more. Even during a time like this,
she is thinking of other people.

Now it’s our turn to help her. On Wednesday, May 12, 2021, Courtney and her family’s lives were altered by the news that one of the
twins, little Lowen, was diagnosed with acute B-Cell leukemia. Fortunately, things are in
Lowen’s favor. Lowen and his mama have a
long journey ahead. They will be spending at
least the next month inpatient. This makes it
so that Courtney is unable to work.  As a single mom of twins, she is her family’s only source   of income. Her amazing parents are helping
with Lowen’s sweet little sister and Courtney will need to go back and forth to spend time
with her daughter as well. When Lowen comes home, Courtney will be his sole caregiver. His exposure to other people will also be limited 
due to his compromised immune system. 

The doctors told Courtney that the treatment plan is 2 years and 12 weeks long and that she should plan on a lot of time in and out of the hospital for Lowen’s treatments. They have a long road ahead. If you’ve ever met her, you
know she is the last person to ask anything of anyone, and if you are able to, please help our amazing friend and her adorable little son. Our goal is to raise enough so that she won’t have
to worry about medical expenses and living
expenses, and just focus on Lowen while he
fights this with every ounce of his being with
his mama by his side.
