Help Little Lenni live the life he deserves

Little Lenni is a seven-year-old kitty boy who loves his people, loves his siblings and loves life. Everyone that meets him thinks that he is the sweetest boy ever. Even the doctors and nurses. Especially the doctors and nurses. Lenni has been battling chronic and profound constipation for over three years now. He has made countless trips to the vet in that time, where he has made lots of friends at South Bay Veterinary Clinic. They have treated him in the least invasive ways, but Lenni has recently been diagnosed with Megacolon and requires surgery. Megacolon is a condition that causes the colon to become enlarged and unable to evacuate. If left untreated, this can be fatal. The cure is to section out the most damaged portion of the colon and Dr. Gustafson at Olympia Veterinary Services feels that Lenni should be able to live a perfectly normal life after this.

Lenni is a fortunate guy in that he is part of a family that is much beloved by several thousand people on Facebook, as part of https://www.facebook.com/ToryAndGrantMythbustersKittens. The incredibly kind people there have encouraged me to allow them to help him, so I have created this page. The initial estimate from OVS for his surgery is $5494.30 →$6859.10, though it conceivably could go higher if something unexpected comes up. Also, I have already spent almost $2500 on his treatment at South Bay in the last six weeks. My "ask" for this fundraiser will be $8000. While I don't really expect it to happen, if the fundraiser exceeds Lenni's needs, any extra will be donated to The Tipper Fund at Purrfect Pals. They use the money to help other cats that need extraordinary medical care that would otherwise be unaffordable.
