Help Little John Wayne Get Life-Saving Surgery

On a cold November evening, when the temperature was below freezing and with snow and ice all over the ground, we heard little meows outside our house. Going out to investigate, we came face to face with this cute little kitten hiding under our car trying to protect himself from the cold. We took him into the warmth of our house and instantly fell in love with the six week old who loves cuddles, little face boops and snuggles.

The next day we brought him to the vet and they noticed how hard and fast he was breathing. After a couple of days at the vet getting IV, antibiotics and a few x-rays, we discovered that what we thought was fluid in his lungs was actually a diaphragmatic hernia - AKA he has a hole in the barrier between his abdomen and his lung cavity. This means his intestines have started moving into where his lungs should be and straining his breathing.

We want to do everything we can to save this little guy who is full of life, and the only surgery that can save him costs 7000$ to 10000$ which must be performed by a specialist surgeon and anesthesiologist. There is absolutely no obligation whatsoever to give, but if you feel like giving even a small amount, it would go such a long way!

We have only known this little guy for a few days, but he has already captured our hearts.

If for some technical reason he is deemed to not qualify for the surgery, we will donate all the funds raised to the Ontario SPCA Humane Society.
