Our friend’s beautiful boy, Jake, was diagnosed with lymphoma in May this year. He’s on the eve of his 5th birthday — full of life, energy, and curiosity — and now facing the biggest challenge of his young life.

What started as a few concerning symptoms quickly became every parent’s worst nightmare, and Joel and Amber’s lives changed overnight.

Jake is a shining light in everyone’s lives — full of laughter, and love. He adores LEGO, Australian wildlife, exploring maps, and playing with his little sister Riley. Despite everything he’s going through, he has remained incredibly brave every step of the way, rarely complaining and simply trusting those around him to help him get better.

After spending a month in hospital during his initial treatment phase, Jake is now home — but still requires multiple hospital visits each week for ongoing treatment. Joel and Amber are adjusting to a new normal that includes travel costs, unplanned hospital stays, some medical expenses, and lost income from taking time off work to be by his side every step of the way.

We’re coming together as friends and community to help ease the financial burden on Jake’s family so they can focus entirely on what matters most: getting him well. Every donation, big or small, will go directly toward supporting Jake’s treatment journey and helping his family through this difficult time.
