Hi, my name is Louise from the UK.

This families story broke my heart.

I decided to try to help them by creating this fundraiser, as they are in an absolute dire and desperate situation.

The family have been barely surviving for nearly a whole year.

They have had no means of acquiring funds to buy the most basic of supplies needed to care for their small children, one of which has a very rare autoimmune medical condition, Systemic Diffuse Scleroderma. The more serious, life threatening form of the disease.

Scleroderma is the name for a range of conditions that affect an immune system (Autoimmune conditions).

In cases of Diffuse Systemic Sclerosis, just as it can cause hardening and thickening of the skin, changes in tissues, underlying bone, muscle, blood vessels and circulation, it can also affect internal organs such as the digestive system, the heart, lungs or the kidneys.

This can cause a range of potentially serious problems, such as shortness of breath, high blood pressure and pulmonary hypertension.

If left untreated it can lead to severe and life-threatening problems.

Other symptoms can include, problems swallowing ( Dysphagia ), weight loss, fatigue, joint pain and stiffness, heartburn, shortened limbs and hard lumps under the skin.

Although there's no cure for Scleroderma, symptoms can sometimes be managed and controlled with a range of treatments, although sadly, these treatments are not available for Hala under current circumstances.

Little Hala is in urgent need of medical evacuation, so she can receive much needed specialised medical treatment.

She is at a very high risk without having the necessary interventions, especially now, whilst residing in an extremely dangerous environment and living conditions.

A very tragic and heartbreaking part of this families story is that beyond their brave and resilient faces, they are in fact grieving the loss of their son and brother, 9 year old Ahmed.

He took his last breath and his heart stopped beating after a missile landed next to the families home in 2022. He had the same autoimmune condition as his little sister Hala.

The costs of living for the family are extremely high!

Funds will be used for the families survival in obtaining necessities such as food and water, tents for shelter, winter clothing, shoes and blankets and for any available medical supplies necessary and available.
