My name is Elen Carolina, and I am the mother of Gael, my sweet boy who is only 1 year and 9 months old a child always full of life, energy, and joy.

On August 3rd, I noticed something wasn’t right: Gael started limping and later developed a high fever. We went through different hospitals, endless exams, and even surgeries in Ballinasloe, Galway, and Dublin, but the answers never came. Those days were filled with fear, uncertainty, and constant fevers.

Then, on August 27th at 4:00 PM, we received the devastating news no parent is ever ready to hear:

Gael was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

Since then, our lives have completely changed. What used to be a routine filled with laughter and play has now turned into a daily fight for survival. Yet we hold on to faith and hope, believing in Gael’s incredible strength and in the dedicated doctors fighting alongside him.

But we cannot face this battle alone.

Gael’s treatment is long, complex, and extremely costly. That’s why we created a fundraiser on MyFound to raise the support needed to provide him with the care he desperately needs.

Meu nome é Elen Carolina e sou mãe do Gael, meu menino de apenas 1 ano e 9 meses, sempre cheio de vida, energia e alegria.

No dia 3 de agosto, percebi que algo não estava certo: Gael começou a mancar e logo depois teve febre alta. Passamos por vários hospitais, exames e até cirurgias em Ballinasloe, Galway e Dublin, mas as respostas não vinham. Foram dias de angústia, febres constantes e muitas incertezas.

Até que, no dia 27 de agosto, às 16h, recebemos a notícia que nenhum pai ou mãe está preparado para ouvir:

Gael foi diagnosticado com Leucemia Linfoblástica Aguda.

Desde então, nossa vida mudou completamente. Hoje, o que antes era uma rotina cheia de brincadeiras e sorrisos, se tornou uma luta diária pela vida. Ainda assim, seguimos firmes, com fé e esperança, acreditando na força do nosso pequeno guerreiro e no cuidado dos médicos que estão ao lado dele nessa batalha.

Mas precisamos de ajuda.
