Help Little Elijah Beat Leukemia

Donation protected
After a brief period of headaches and fatigue, On January 03, 2017, 8 year-old Elijah was diagnosed with leukemia (ALL). He has a 3 ½ year treatment plan ahead of him.

Elijah’s family has not left his side since his diagnosis.  Extended hospital stays, twice weekly clinic visits, the side effects of chemo and the constant possibility of unexpected hospital admissions mean stress and exhaustion for this family. Mom and Dad are doing their best, but healthcare costs, gas to and from the hospital, parking, and limited work can be devastating to any family. Dad was recently laid off from his job just before Christmas and Mom has recently started a new position; having yet to accrue any benefits, thus all of her time off from work is unpaid! This is all on top of their concerns for Elijah and his treatment.

We really have no idea what kind of financial trials the family will face, but as anyone who has dealt with insurance and medical care costs knows, it will be more than this family can do alone.  Especially a family of five that already survives on one income.  But the family is trusting God to provide for them as He always does. Elijah’s care and treatment is all that matters now! We also do not want to forget Elijah’s little brothers in this. This diagnosis has disrupted their lives as well.

Mom and Dad appreciate everyone who has reached out to them with prayers and offers of help. Please keep in mind the family is going through a very difficult time and may not respond personally to everyone who has or will reach out to them. Your gesture does not go unnoticed.

The family’s future financial needs are hard to access at this time, as Mom and Dad have not worked since Elijah’s diagnosis and Elijah has a 3 ½ year treatment plan ahead of him. The family has immediate financial needs to cover the cost for:
•    (While at hospital)
o    Gas
o    Parking ($15 a day)
o    Food
o    Care for Elijah’s little brothers

•    (Once Home)
o    Full size sheets
o    Arm & Hammer Laundry Detergent
o    Disinfectant items: Clorox, Hand sanitizer, Disinfectant spray/wipes, etc.
o    Trips back to the hospital
o    Entertainment for Elijah (as he will be homebound for quite some time)

Anything you can provide will help. Although we prefer for your contributions to be made directly to the family here, but if you would like to provide for the family in another form, please contact me at [phone redacted].

God Bless.
