Help Little Caitlin and her Loving Family!

Caitlin is an amazing little two year old. Most mornings she can be heard running from her room laughing all the way yelling “get up daddy!” She then gives her brother a hug and kiss to start the morning!
Today she is in BC Children’s Hospital hooked up to an IV waiting to go into surgery for a biopsy.
Two months ago Caitlin’s parents noticed a bump on her back and took her into the doctor. They did an abdomen check and found a lump on the left side. That started the journey of getting an ultrasound of her abdomen.
After the scan, the radiologist came into the ultrasound room and said they needed a better image. That is when their GP put them in touch with BC Children’s Oncology Department.
Last Tuesday, Caitlin got her MRI Scan and on Wednesday the Oncologist called saying she wanted to admit Caitlin on Thursday and get her on the emergency surgery list, with the hope of having a biopsy Friday.
Yesterday they got the news that it’s probably cancer and malignant.
Today they have been told it maybe a form of neuroblastoma, though more test are needed which happen next week. Caitlin, her Mom and Dad sit in the hospital waiting to find out what she has and how to treat it.
For the past two weeks and into the unknown future, she will be in hospital. To date they have driven over 1000km to and from their home in Squamish, and her Dad (the main income earner) has not been able to focus much on his work.
They have to pay for food, parking, gas and all the regular bills at home. On top of that there are the current and upcoming medical expenses.
I know both of her parents want to be by her side and try to keep her brother’s life as normal as possible as they go through this and that is where we come in.
If we can raise some funds for them so that they can focus just on getting Caitlin healthy as well as keep Aayden’s life as normal as possible, they would really appreciate it.
If you are able and willing, please give to Caitlin’s Fund. We are looking to raise $10,000 to keep them going for the next couple of months.
