Friends, neighbors, and animal lovers,
I never imagined I would be in a position where I needed to ask for help, but life has thrown more at me these past several months than I ever expected, and I’m reaching out with humility and hope.
Many of you know my dog, Little Baby. He is more than a pet to me—he’s family, my companion, and one of the few constants I’ve had during one of the most difficult periods of my life.
Over the last several months, I have experienced a series of major hardships. I underwent a significant surgery that required a lengthy recovery and kept me out of work. During that time, I fell behind financially while still trying to keep up with everyday responsibilities, household expenses, and medical costs. What savings I had quickly disappeared into necessities.
As I was working to recover and get back on my feet, more unexpected expenses continued to pile up. Between medical bills, household repairs, and basic living expenses, I’ve been doing everything I can just to stay afloat. The last thing I ever wanted was to be in a position where I couldn’t immediately afford everything my dog needs.
The good news is that I have recently secured a new job and should be starting next week. I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity and hopeful that things are finally beginning to move in the right direction. Unfortunately, there is still a gap between where I am today and when I begin receiving paychecks.
That is why I am raising funds for Little Baby.
The money raised will go directly toward:
• Having him neutered
• Updating any necessary vaccinations and preventative care
• Getting his nails professionally trimmed and cared for
• Any related veterinary expenses needed to keep him healthy and comfortable
This fundraiser is not for luxuries or unnecessary expenses. It is simply to make sure that a dog who has loved me unconditionally receives the care he deserves while I work through a difficult financial transition.
Asking for help is not easy for me. In fact, it’s probably one of the hardest things I’ve had to do. I’ve always tried to handle things on my own, but sometimes life humbles us and reminds us that communities exist for a reason.
If you’re able to donate, no matter the amount, I would be deeply grateful. Even a few dollars helps bring me closer to getting Little Baby the care he needs. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this post would mean just as much and helps us reach more people.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Thank you for your kindness, your support, and for understanding that sometimes good people simply fall on hard times. I’m working hard to rebuild, and this help would allow me to take care of one of the most important members of my family while I do.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
Claire & Little Baby ❤️
