TURNING DREAMS INTO IMPACT: WE NEED YOU

As many of you know, Ulas and I moved to Kenya so I could fulfill my childhood dream of volunteering at a primary school. But what I found here moved me beyond words and after seeing the poor conditions of the school and hearing challenging stories of some children, I realized that I can not do much alone I need your help to make a real difference—Only together we can truly create lasting change.

ABOUT THE SCHOOL

The community school is located in the village of Majengo Waweni Kenya, and it serves around 150 children aged 4 to 18. Most of these children come from extremely difficult socio-economic backgrounds, and for some, the one meal provided by the school is the only food they have for the day. Sadly, this school is not just an educational institution; for many, it is their only lifeline.

Until recently, the school also operated as an orphanage for 40 children. However, due to government regulations it was advised to close its doors . The government offeres no support, leaving many of these children without stable homes. Our long term goal is to re open the Orphanage

THE CURRENT REALITY

The school's current condition is heartbreaking:

Despite these challenges, the school’s teachers remain dedicated to giving these children the education and care they need to break free from poverty. But they cannot do it alone.

DONATION PACKAGES

Here’s how your support can make an impact:

• €10 -€20 : Provide a week of basic groceries for a family in need ( 1kg of beans and 12 packs of Maize)

• €50: Provides school supplies or basic needs for 5 children.

• €100: Feeds the entire school for 3 days.

• €500: Builds new flooring for 3 classrooms.

• €1,000: Repairs toilets or provides 200 meals.

• €2,500: Funds major repairs and renovations.

OUR GOALS

Short-Term (0-4 Months)

Raise €10,000 for urgent repairs, including:

• Flooring, clasrromm division, roofs, running water for current toilets, add 2 more toilets 1 shower and a washbasin.

We aim to complete all of this before the new school term starts in January.

Mid-Term (0-6 Months)

Raise an additional €6,000 for:

• Kitchen and dinning area.

• Ongoing basic needs: groceries, clothes, and school materials.

• Meals for the most vulnerable families.

Long-Term (6+ Months):

Raise €30,000 to build a foundation for a sustainable future:

• Construct a government-compliant orphanage.

• Secure a school van for emergencies and learning trips.

• Attract international volunteers and long-term sponsors to enrich education and stability.

• Provide electricity to one classroom and convert it into a multi-purpose study room equipped with computer resources (made for the high school students)

Dec 02/2024 - we’ve completed our first big goal—10 classroom floors done!
