Please consider donating to support my healing and recovery, and to help offset all that goes along with a recurrent cancer diagnosis and years of treatment so that I can focus more fully on healing.
My cancer journey began in in October 2014 with an ultrasound that ultimately led to a diagnosis of Uterine Cancer Stage 1A. After surgery, the prognosis was great- “go on and live your life!” But 1.5 years later symptoms led to another diagnosis- recurrent uterine cancer that had now metastasized into my psoas muscle and lymph glands. I completed several sessions of chemo, then 10 rounds of radiation at UCSF resulting in a modest response of shrinking the tumor by 1/3. I was still so grateful to God and my medical team for getting me that far. Grateful to be alive (many patients die from toxic cancer treatments and their complications). That treatment helped reduce the pain somewhat, but the tumor is inoperable due to its location, size, and scarring from radiation in the area. I participated in a clinical trial for a while after that, but it failed to make any difference and this whole journey has led to many costly medical appointments, scans, and medical bills. The financial impact of cancer is something no one is prepared for. My doctor and I decided to wait for something more promising and she had me “continue what you’re doing”, which is a ton of nutritional supplements and extreme self care that have helped me to remain medically stable up until now the recent progression. In December I started on immunotherapy infusions of Keytruda that could really help. More than anything, I just want a fighting chance at really healing from this.
Please consider making a donation. If you can’t give, join me in praying and believing for a total healing and many healthier years ahead.
God bless you!
Lise
