Help Lisa Wu to the European Championships 2023

Hi!

My name is Lisa Wu and I am 18 years old. I have been practicing karate since I was seven years old. This year I was allowed to represent the Netherlands at the European Championships 2022 in Prague. It was a fantastic experience and it motivated me to train even harder.

Recently I received fantastic news; I am allowed to represent the Netherlands once again at the World Championships in Turkey! This will take place at the end of October in Konya this year.

My passion for the sport karate started eleven years ago with a karate lesson at Karate Team Utrecht. It started off with an hour a week and it slowly became more and more. Karate quickly became a big part of my life.

In a normal week I train 15-18 hours a week. Besides training at my club, I work on weight training (in the mornings), endurance and in the weekend I train with the Dutch national team.

My goal is to go the European Championships 2023 in Limasol. To qualify for this, I have to take part in multiple international competitions chosen by the Dutch Karate Federation. The following tournaments are on my program this year:

To take part in every competition is very expensive. Think of travel costs, hotel stays, registration costs and competition materials. With the help of my side job I try to help with the costs of the competitions. Unfortunately, this is not enough. That is why every donation helps me one step further to reach my goal.
