Hello Everyone,
I wanted to help my dear friend Lisa Williams out in recovering from Covid-19.
Lisa is a single mother to a boy Johnathan 11. She's a very caring, giving and compassionate person.
Unfortunately she contracted the Corona Virus / Covid-19 on 7/25/20. Where she spent 13 long days in ICU at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, on a ventilator in a medically induced coma. Not knowing what the outcome could have been, I was so scared for her. Her lungs were swollen and infected so bad she couldn't breath. She also developed a lot of blood clots in her body. She will have to be on blood thinning medication for 6 months pills and injections. Also while on the ventilator she received dialysis which kept her blood clean and for her kidneys. It's common to have what they call kidney injury in covid Patients. Thank god with all the prayers and good vibes Lisa was slowly taken off the ventilator, day by day and was able to breath on her own.
Lisa was on the road to recovery. She spent several more days getting off all the sedation and getting back to life. After test and CT scans, Lisa was ruled as stable and the Dr. discovered that her lungs have been scared from covid-19 which she will need more time to recover to get back to normal or if she will even recover to 100% some cases don't go back to normal. She also lost all mobility to walk and do normal things to take care of herself. So after a week in recovery.Lisa was sent out to a rehabilitation center at Christ Hospital. Where She did therapy every day 3 hrs a day to build her leg and arm strength up to walk again and to do things on her own. After 9 days she was able to go home. When i say i was so happy and thankful and happy that my best friend made it through some rough things and was able to come home.
Morale of the story Lisa needs are help at this time of recovery. She was unemployed when she got covid after missing certifying for a payment being in a coma her payments stopped. As she got a hold of unemployment and told them what she just went through. They sent a letter of determination that she was not eligible for payments. Because of not being able to actively looking for work. Now that Schools back in she applied for a leave of absence. She was denied and has filed a appeal because her Dr failed to return her paperwork in a timely manner. So she hasn't had any kind of income in awhile.
I decided to make this page for Lisa to help her with medical bills and medical expenses . She still has to see the Dr. twice a week to check her blood thinner level. Her medication is very expensive also. When Lisa and I talk she so stressed out about bills and having no income. It's hard on someone who is trying to recover and being so stressed. So as a friend I'm reaching out to her family, friends and neighbors to please help her out by donating. I know this will help her to be less stressed and she can recover without being worried. Any donation is not too small. This would mean the world to her.
