Help Lisa Start For Ewe!
Donation protected

For many months, I have been working hard to build my brick and mortar concept, For Ewe: An Inclusive Fiber Community, into a reality. I’ve invested time, money, and brainpower to get myself positioned to realize my vision here in Oberlin. Everything has gone very quickly and gotten real much faster than I expected. It’s so exciting!
Here are some things I’ve been doing:
-Taking small business start-up classes through my local SBDC
-Working one-on-one with SBDC coaches to develop my business plan
-Researching yarn brands to bring customers a comprehensive selection of products (including organic, local, and recycled items)
-Projecting start-up costs and developing a 3-year financial plan
-Registering my business and obtaining necessary tax numbers
-Speaking extensively with my business mentors
-Exploring fully accessible rental spaces in Oberlin
So many folks have asked how they could help me get started — here’s how! I’m raising money to help defray some of the start-up costs. My goal is $25K which is one quarter of the total cost of starting the business. Funds raised will allow me to take care of immediate needs such as: rental and utility deposits, buildout, signage, and display equipment, as I work on securing bank financing.
No donation is too small! I’m happy to talk with folks about For Ewe if you have any questions. Any support I receive will be deeply appreciated and used exclusively to further the business. I’m happy to post updates so everyone can see things coming together!
Please feel free to share this with folks you think would be interested.
Thank you for investing in my dream of creating an inclusive and welcoming fiber space for EVERYONE.
Keep it crafty, y’all!
