Help Lisa, Ruby & Hank Move in Crisis

Hi, we're Lisa, Ruby & Hank. We have an emergency moving situation. We have a week and a half to move out of the rental home we've lived in for 11 years. We have no current means of support. Our previous means of support moved out of state and is currently out of work.

Hank graduated high school in June and was set to start college this month but, due to our current situation, will no longer be able to attend. Lisa and Ruby have recently been unemployed due to physical and/or mental disabilities but our situation has become extremely dire. We will all be looking for employment near our new apartment as soon as possible but we have to focus on getting moved first, before we get an eviction notice. Our current landlord plans to start a major demo remodel on Sept 9th. We have to be out before then.

The three of us will be moving from a four bedroom, 1400 sqft house into a tiny 2 bedroom, 800 sqft apartment. We spent 23 years building a home and family and we hope not to lose most of our belongings. We need money to secure a storage unit, UHaul, first month's rent and deposit, utility connections and deposits and 1 months worth of food and expenses until we can secure jobs and get our first paychecks.

Moving is very expensive. We calculated that it'll cost a minimum of $8270. We've cut all possible extraneous expenses but we have no savings or money on hand. It's embarrassing but we're not sure what to do other than ask our friends, family and community. Thank you for any help you can afford.
