Hello, my name is Jessica Kemmerling. This fundraiser is for Lisa Kemmerling, who is my mom-in-law and Donnie's mother. She is also a grandmother of 8.

Lisa was recently diagnosed with a rare, aggressive form of breast cancer called HER2. Only about 15 percent of breast cancer patients have it.

She'll need a chest port and four types of medications for the first five months, including chemo, which she will be starting within the next two weeks.

After that, she'll have surgery, then will continue medication therapies thereafter, all totaling a year.

This is going to be a tough ride.

Lisa has no more sick time available through her job nor short-term disability. She needs to take many days off in the immediate weeks to get everything started.

She is a very strong woman who has gone through so much in life. However, as strong as she is, she has no partner by her side to help her through.

Let's all please pull together and help her during this very difficult and stressful time to lessen the burden of covering these unpaid days, as well as her health insurance deductible.
