- Hi All. This is hard for me to do, but I’m in a difficult situation. I was admitted to the hospital on 10/15/24 with cellulitis and sepsis, which was caused by a love bite/scratch from my kitty (cat scratch fever). The infection in my blood was very serious, and I had to stay in the hospital from Tues-Fri. I was sent home on 10 days of IV antibiotics and now on 14 days of oral antibiotics.
- I do have insurance, and I’ll pay off the hospital and home health bills over the next several months. I’m reaching out for assistance with living expenses until I can return to work and receive a full paycheck. Unfortunately, my hospitalization happened 1 day shy of my 1-year anniversary at my job. This prevented me from qualifying for some of the benefits/pay I could receive to help me pay my basic living expenses while I’m off work. If you’re able to help, even a little, I will be so grateful. I struggle asking for help with little things, and I am finding this to be very difficult asking for financial assistance, but I’ve run out of options.
